About Meannit

Meannit is a meeting recorder for Apple Silicon Macs. It records calls from the menu bar without a bot, finds who spoke, and transcribes on the Mac with open-weight models, so audio never leaves the computer. Transcripts export as Markdown. Meannit is free while in beta.

Say it "mean it". Said aloud, it is also minit, Malay for meeting minutes. Write it Meannit, with a capital M; only the wordmark is lowercase.

Logos

Use the lockup wherever there's room, and the mark alone for avatars and small spaces. Each comes for light and dark backgrounds.

Cinnabar is the only accent: the mark and the one primary action.

Type

Plus Jakarta Sans, made by Tokotype for Jakarta's city identity and released under the SIL Open Font License. The wordmark is Plus Jakarta Sans ExtraBold, outlined, so it needs no font. The app itself uses the system font.

Please don't

• Recolor, rotate, outline, or add effects to the mark.
• Change its gaps. There are exactly two, straight and equal.
• Crowd the lockup. Leave clear space around it at least as wide as the dot.
• Write the name in lowercase outside the wordmark.
